How often have we been in this situation - we're stopped at the roadside in the light blue car and are waiting to move off. Inevitably it seems like every other driver in the city has chosen this time to drive down the same road.

It sometimes seems like we'll have to wait forever until an opportunity to move off comes along. Well, we won't have to wait forever, but we often do have to be patient - if we're on a busy main road like this opportunities will come, there will be pedestrian crossings and junctions on the road behind us - when people cross or vehicles emerge our chance will come.

The secret to success is being patient, recognising the opportunity early and then being ready to move into the gap at the correct time.
