Moving Off And Stopping

Same situation, but the driver of the dark blue car hasn't been paying as much attention as he should, he sees the light blue cars' indicator late and imagines he's moving straight off into his path - he brakes late and harshly.

The following drivers (as happens all too often) are driving without leaving a proper separation between themselves.

The driver of the green car manages to stop in time, but the yellow car hasn't a chance with such a small separation distance and the inevitable collision occurs.

Meanwhile the driver of the light blue car moves off into the gap oblivious of what's happened behind leaving the drivers of the green and yellow cars to sort out the mess.

The drivers of the approaching vehicles have all made errors but that doesn't alter the fact that the collision has been caused by a chain of events started by the driver of the light blue car. Good drivers will always be aware of the situation around them and make allowances in their plans for others not driving as they should. If YOU do you will avoid either causing or being involved in a situation such as this that occurs somewhere everyday.
