Welcome to the sites most popular area. Here you'll find what you need to help you understand what your driving instructor covers during your driving lessons. My pupils tell me they read them over and over again to help develop their understanding of the main areas of the driving syllabus. You'll find that using the tutorials will expand your knowledge and help you become a safe and confident driver.

The tutorials are divided into 3 main subject areas:

Basic Skills - Here's where you learn about the main controls and the early skills you will need to start driving. We'll be learning about how to move off and stop the car, using the gears to develop speed and how to use the mirrors and signals properly.

Road Skills - Once you've become used to the basics we'll be learning about how to deal with common situations such as T junctions, crossroads, pedestrian crossings and all the other things that we'll regularly come across in our lessons. I include the manouevres in this section although it's likely that we'll do some early in your training and leave some until later on. You'll be able to progess at a speed that suits you and I'll be making sure that you're driving confidently before we go onto the final section.

Traffic Skills - You'll soon be ready to move onto the final area of the training syllabus where we'll be concentrating on how to deal with other road users, we'll learn all about driving on faster roads here as well as learning some more advanced skills in the areas of anticipation and planning. It's now we'll be preparaing for your test and by the time we finish this section you'll be driving safely and confidently and will have the skills needed to drive successfully for the rest of your life.
