This section shows you what to expect on your Driving Tests, we'll examine all the tests in detail so that you can be fully prepared and have the best possible chance of success when you're ready to take them. There is loads of information here for you and we've included a page for your frequently asked questions, but if you need more you can ask your own instructor or e mail us for any further information you need.

The Driving Theory TestThe Driving Theory Test - You should begin preparing for your theory test as early as possible in your training - this section explains about the type of questions you'll be asked and how the test is conducted. You'll be guided to the resources page where you can browse through the various training aids that you might want to consider using to help your preparation and we've got a link to the DSA  for when you're ready to book your test appointment. If you're taking your driving lessons in Hull you'll see the actual address of the centre here but we've included a full list of the various test centres for those of you who will be taking their tests elsewhere.

The Hazard Perception TestThe Hazard Perception Test - Is taken at the same time as the multiple choice theory test and we've included a full explanation of how the test is conducted and included loads of tips on the techniques you might want to use to help you. Although you'll be studying for the theory test from early in your training take advice from your driving instructor about when to apply for the test - your driving lessons in the car are very relevant to this part of the test and when you've develped good hazard perception skills and anticipation in the car you should find this part of the test presents no problem.

The Practical Driving Test - You can only apply for the driving test when you've passed the theory test so the timing of all your test applications should be discussed with your instructor - you need to be properly prepared to have a good chance of success but your instructor will probably be able to help you judge when to book the practical test which will probably be done before you've fully completed the Driving Syllabus.
There are links here to help you booking the test and we tell you how the drive will be conducted, there's also a full section showing how the driving test report is marked by the driving examiner and what sort of things they are looking for when you're out on the road.
